Background

I've unknowingly been interested in web design since a young age, when I would learn basic HTML in order to add images and change text colours on my Neopets profile! At the time, I wasn't aware that continuing down this route could be a viable job option, and didn't think about web design again until I started college and wanted to make a online portfolio.

I drew on my experience from years before to give me a head start, and havn't stopped from there! Since then (over the past year or so) I've vastly increased my knowledge of HTML, taught myself CSS, learned about / how to implement JQuery and in the process of learning Javascript. I continue to spend alot of my time reading and researching things relating to and affecting web deign, such as current aesthetic trends, SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), CMS (Content Management Systems), browser handling capabilities and CSS3 =)

I am currently looking to take my knowledge of web design even further and will be studying a 3-year Creative Computing BSc course at the prestigious Goldsmiths University, beginning in September 2010. I am particuarly looking forward to learning more about back-end web development, which will allow me to add more functionality and interactivity into my websites!
